Bhubaneswar: Devotees will be barred from the darshan of the Holy Trinity – Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra – for four hours on Monday for the Khasapada Lagi Niti ritual.
The special ritual at Puri Srimandir will be held from 6 pm to 10 pm and the devotees will not be allowed darshan of the Lords inside Srimandir during this period, informed Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Sunday.
The special ritual will be performed after the second prasad offered to the deities at the Bhoga Mandap.
The Khasapada Lagi Niti ritual ritual is performed on a few select occasions. It is performed at the Shreepayars (holy feet) of the deities, who are covered with white clothes for the ritual.
