Bhubaneswar: Revenue Department suspended Kuchinda Tehsildar Mitali Madhusmita Dalei over allegations of bias in a land dispute case.
The suspension follows a formal complaint lodged by local resident Rajesh Agarwal, who alleged that Dalei showed favouritism in the partition of land.
Agarwal claimed that his cousins conspired to falsely register mutation cases, declaring him and his immediate family dead to take over their properties of late Jagdish Lal Seth. He alleged that Dalei signed the documents without issuing proper notice, allowing the transfer to proceed without his knowledge.
The Revenue Department took swift action after Agrawal filed a complaint to the Chief Minister, Revenue Minister, and Northern Revenue Commissioner. During the suspension period, Dalei has been asked to report to the Sambalpur District Collector’s office.
The case is being closely watched, and further investigation is expected to determine the extent of the irregularities.
