Legendary Singer Akshay Mohanty’s Son Chitrabhanu Joins Congress

Cuttack: Chitrabhanu Mohanty, son of legendary singer and music director Akshay Mohanty on Tuesday joined the Congress.

Mohanty was welcomed into the party by the Congress’ candidate from the Barabati-Cuttack Assembly constituency Sofia Firdous at the Cuttack Town Hall here.

Several BJP and BJD workers also joined the Congress at a ‘Mishran Parva’ organised by Cuttack Town Congress at the Townhall. They were all welcomed into the party by Sofia Firdous.

“MLA Md Moquim has done several developmental work in the Barabati-Cuttack constituency. After he became the MLA the constituency has transformed for the better. Will work with him for the development of Cuttack,” said Mohanty after joining the Congress.

“I am delighted that youths in such large numbers from different political parties joined the Congress today. I welcome them. Together we will work for Cuttack,” said Sofia Firdous.
