Bhubaneswar: The regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday forecasted light to moderate rainfall in some places of Odisha for the next four days while the weather is likely to remain dry in other places of the state.
According to the weather office, light to moderate rainfall occurred at a few places in north coastal Odisha during the last 24 hours. Shallow fog occurred at one or two places in Keonjhar in north interior Odisha. Most of the rainfall occurred in Bahanga (Balasore), Kantamal (Boudhgarh), Athmalik (Angul), Nh5 Gobindpur (Balasore), Soro (Balasore), Bolangir (Bolangir), Champua (Keonjhargarh), Anandpur (Keonjhargarh), Khaira (Balasore), Gania (Nayagarh), Bhadrak (Bhadrak), Nilgiri (Balasore), and Khajuripada (Kandhamal).
The maximum temperatures observed appreciable fall at one or two places in north Odisha and south interior Odisha while no large change was seen elsewhere in Odisha. The minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at one or two places in south interior Odisha. The highest maximum temperature of 37.0°C was recorded at Nayagarh and the lowest minimum temperature of 17.2°C was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.
