Bhubaneswar: The Low-Pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is likely to move northwestward and intensify into a depression, informed Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar
The Low-Pressure area remains active over the southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal today. It is likely to move northwestward and intensify into a depression over the west-central Bay of Bengal, Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, said on ‘X’, formerly twitter.
During the next three days, it is likely to move in a north-northeast direction and it is likely to approach the West Bengal coast adjacent to Bangladesh, the X post further stated.
The phenomenon is likely to trigger rain on October 23 in coastal parts of the State.
The IMD, however, predicted dry weather conditions in the state till October 22.
