Bhubaneswar: Police arrested the main accused in connection with the gang-rape of a young woman near the famous Baliharachandi temple in Puri district.
The main accused identified as Manoj Behera was arrested from Andhra Pradesh. Three other accused persons were already in police custody, and the medical examination of all four accused will be conducted today.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday when the victim was abducted and gang-raped by the accused persons while she had gone to visit Baliharachandi temple. The police had been interrogating the three accused in custody and were tracking the fourth accused, who has now been apprehended.
The victim has undergone a medical examination, and the police are working to ensure justice is served.
