Angul: A man and his three-year-old son were killed after being run over by a truck here on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Md Asif and his son Md Asbar of Godibandha area in Talcher. Asif’s nephew, Md Khirodlal sustained grievous injuries in the mishap.
The tragedy took place when the trio was returning to Godibandha after a round of Eid shopping from Talcher market. A truck ran over them killed the father-son duo on the spot. The incident triggered tension in the area and angry locals demanded compensation for the family of Asif.
