Baripada: In a shocking incident of domestic violence, a woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband in Balibhol village under Karanjia police station limits in Mayurbhanj district. After learning that his wife had died from the assault, the accused husband later committed suicide.
According to reports, a quarrel broke out between Chandra Tudu and his wife Jyotsna Rani Tudu over a domestic issue. The dispute escalated rapidly, and Chandra Tudu allegedly assaulted his wife brutally. Thinking that his wife had succumbed to the injuries, Chandra Tudu took the extreme step. He went to a nearby forest and hanged himself with a rope.
Upon receiving information, Karanjia police reached the spot, recovered the body of the husband, and sent it for post-mortem. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated an investigation.
