Bhubaneswar: In a strong drive against corruption, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi dismissed Chittaranjan Pilla, former Additional Tahsildar of Bhubaneswar, from government service.
According to official sources, Chittaranjan Pilla was earlier posted as Additional Tahsildar in Bhubaneswar and later joined as Deputy Collector in Jagatsinghpur. During his tenure as Additional Tahsildar in Bhubaneswar, several irregularities were reported in his decisions, particularly in land and revenue-related matters.
A detailed inquiry was conducted by senior officials of the department, which clearly established various irregularities and violations committed by him. Taking strict action based on the inquiry report, Chief Minister Majhi ordered the dismissal of Chittaranjan Pilla from government service.
The Chief Minister has repeatedly emphasized his government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption. He has made it clear on several occasions that no corrupt official will be spared, no matter how senior the position.
