Bhubaneswar: A shocking incident of fratricidal violence has been reported from Kantigadia village under Soso police station in Anandpur Sub-Division of Keonjhar district.
According to reports, a heated argument broke out between two brothers over attending the last rites of their grandmother. When the elder brother, Amar Jena, refused to go due to fatigue, his younger brother Akash Jena suddenly attacked him with an axe.
Amar sustained severe injuries in the attack. He was immediately rushed to Anandpur Hospital for treatment. As his condition was critical, he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for better treatment.
The incident has caused widespread concern in the village.
