Man Succumbs Two Days After His Mother’s Death In Road Mishap

Bhubaneswar: Two days after a road accident claimed the life of a woman, her son, who had sustained injuries in the same mishap, has succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

According to reports, the mishap occurred when a 14-wheeled truck carrying goods lost control and crashed into the stall on National Highway 26 near Bariniput under Jeypore police limits in Koraput. The accident claimed the life of an elderly woman while injured her son Rabi Swain.

Ravi was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Visakhapatnam. He, however, succumbed to his injuries today while undergoing treatment. The accident has left Ravi’s two children, aged 8 and 4, orphaned.

The incident has sent shockwaves in the area, and police are investigating the cause of the accident.
