Bhubaneswar: Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare and Science & Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra held a detailed discussion with the heads of major central government institutions located in Odisha at the State Guest House on Wednesday.
The institutions that participated in the meeting were NISER, ILS, IIT, IMMT and RMRC. During the meeting, the heads of the institutions presented key programs being run by their respective organizations and briefed the Minister about major initiatives planned for the coming days.
Patra appreciated the significant contributions of these premier institutions in advancing science, technology and innovation. He stressed the need for closer collaboration between the State Government and these institutions to leverage scientific research and technological advancements for the socio-economic development of Odisha.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen cooperation between the Government of Odisha and the participating institutions to further build the state’s science, technology and innovation ecosystem.
Additional Principal Secretary, Science and Technology Chithra Arumugam and other senior officers were also present.
