Cuttack: In a tragic incident, a minor girl was killed in a road accident near Jobra Barrage in Cuttack on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the girl was riding on a scooter with her uncle when their two-wheeler was hit by a truck. As duo lost balance and fell on the ground the truck ran over the minor girl.
Both the victims were rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared the girl dead.
A large crowd gathered at the spot after the accident and blocked the road, disrupting movement of vehicular traffic. Malgodam police reached the spot and seized the vehicle.
