Missing Youth’s Body Found From Jharsuguda Forest; Kin Allege Murder

Jharsuguda: The body of a youth, who was missing since February 1, was found from forest near Kukurikani under Brajrajnagar police station in Jharsuguda district. The police recovered the body after about 4 days. It has been reported that the deceased youth has been identified as Sahil Sahis of Rampur area in the district.

Jharsuguda SP Gundala Reddy Raghavendra, Brajrajnagar SDPO, Brajrajnagar police, and a scientific team reached the spot and started investigation. The youth had been missing from his home since February 1. The police reached the spot this morning after receiving information about a body wrapped in polythene in the forest near Kukurikani village and started investigation.

In addition, the police have detained three accused in this incident and are interrogating them. The family members have alleged that some of Sahil’s friends killed him. The police are also investigating. The deceased’s father has alleged that his son was murdered.

SP Gundala Reddy Raghavendra said that the deceased’s father has alleged that his son was murdered. We recovered the body from Kurkurkani jungle. We have started investigation, engaging a scientific team, and detained three suspects in this connection. They are being interrogated, he added.
