Bhubaneswar: The three ministers from Odisha Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram and Ashwini Vaishnaw have been given important portfolios in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet.
Dharmendra Pradhan elected to the Lok Sabha from Sambalpur has retained his post as Minister of Education in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third government.
Similarly, Ashwini Vaishnaw elected to the Rajya Sabha from Odisha while retaining his Railways Ministry and IT Ministry has been also given the heavyweight portfolio of Information and Broadcasting.
Besides, winning consecutively for the third time from Sundargarh Lok Sabha seat Jual Oram has been allocated the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. In 1999 Tribal Affairs Ministry was first created in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government and Oram was the first minister.
Later in the first term of Modi government 2014 to 2019 Oram was the Minister of Tribal Affairs.
