Bhubaneswar: Motorcycles, accessories, furniture and other items were gutted after a fire broke out at a motorcycle showroom in the Sahadevkhunta police station area of Baleshwar district on Wednesday.
According to locals, the fire broke out while an e-bike was being charged inside the showroom. Flames were noticed shortly afterwards, following which locals alerted the authorities and rushed to the spot.
The fire soon spread across the showroom, damaging motorcycles, motorcycle accessories, furniture and other items kept on the premises.
On being informed, firefighters reached the spot and launched an operation to douse the flames.
The exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be ascertained, reports said.
