Bhubaneswar: The post-mortem report of the much-hyped death by suicide of lady scribe Madhumita Parida came on Monday.
Going by the report, the lady journalist’s death was caused by severe multiple injuries. Her body bore multiple injuries before death. She was alive for some time after being dragged by the train. She succumbed to multiple injuries.
It is pertinent to note that Madhumita’s mutilated body was found on railway tracks at Bapuji Nagar locality in Bhubaneswar on July 24.
“Going by the post-mortem report, journalist Madhumita Parida’s death was caused by multiple injuries which are antemortem in nature. The wounds were fresh and showed signs of vitalities during the time of body recovery. Her death is attributed to severe bleeding and memory shock caused by multiple injuries”, said Director of Capital Hospital Director Doctor Dilip Kumar Panda at a presser.
He further added saying “We have the viscera with us, and if requested by the police, we will send it for further medical examination.”
It is pertinent to mention that Madhumita, who works for a web channel in Bhubaneswar, married Sridhara on March 1, after a 5-year relationship. However, even after marriage, Madhumita alleged that her husband, Shridhar, maintained an extramarital relationship. In a video recorded before her death, Madhumita mentioned that her husband was planning to marry another girl and had even given her a divorce notice. The video has gone viral on social media.
A day after a woman journalist allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train here, Dhauli police arrested the accused husband on July 25.
