Bhubaneswar: The mutilated body of a man was found under the Sri Setu bridge in Puri on Wednesday morning.
The deceased, identified as 43-year-old Sudarshan Sahu was allegedly stoned to death late on Tuesday night. A mutilated body of Sudarshan Sahu was found under the bridge in the morning.
Sahu, a resident of Khandiabandh village, was a tiffin shop owner near Market Chhack in the pilgrim town.
According to reports, Sahu had gone to Sri Setu with his friend for some work. However, he didn’t return home.
Though the reason behind his murder remains unclear, previous enmity is suspected to be the cause of the crime.
The Puri Town Police Station seized the body and sent it for autopsy. The police are investigating the matter. No arrest has been made.
