Nabarangpur: Nabarangpur police today arrested a teacher of an Ashram School Amar Kumar Nath for outraging the modesty of class XII girl students.
Nath was forwarded to court today. He has been booked under sections 354 (A), 354 (D), 509, 506 of IPC, section 10/12 of POCSO Act and section 32 (VA) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Nabarangpur Superintendent of Police S Sushri took serious note of the issue after receiving a written complaint from the girl students on Thursday ordered for registration of a case at Nabarangpur police station. Following the registration of the case, Nabarangpur DSP Dibya Kanti Lakra was assigned to investigate the matter.
The accused had allegedly apart from making obscene gestures towards the girl students had touched them at inappropriate places.
