Bhubaneswar: BJP president and Union Health minister J P Nadda on Saturday asked party MLAs and MPs to shun their ego and get connected to the people.
While inaugurating the three-day training programme for party MLAs, MPs and other leaders in Puri, Nadda urged the lawmakers to associate with the developmental works to win public trust.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union ministers Jual Oram, Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal and most of the party MPs and MLAs attended the programme.
BJP President JP Nadda addressed party lawmakers in a 90-minute session, emphasizing their roles in serving both the party and the public. Highlighting the BJP’s stature as the world’s largest political party, Nadda noted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) governs 19 out of 28 states and 7 union territories, with the BJP leading in 13 states and UTs.
Over 135 million people joined the BJP in just three and a half months, showcasing its massive appeal. Nadda urged lawmakers to work cohesively for the party’s ideological goals.
He suggested spending time in public spaces like hospitals to understand people’s concerns and moods.
The three-day training camp, inaugurated by Nadda and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Manjhi, focuses on enhancing leadership and legislative capabilities and Effective communication of party achievements.
Nadda arrived in Bhubaneswar on a three-day State tour on Friday and launched the Ayushman Bharat scheme, a poll promise made by the BJP during the elections.
