Bargarh: A newborn girl child was found abandoned on the steps of the Shiva temple in Godbhaga in Bargarh district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the priest of the Shiva temple who came to open the temple early in the morning today, found the newborn girl child lying abandoned on the temple’s steps by some unknown person.
A news spread a crowd of onlookers gathered at the temple.
Later, the locals informed Godbhaga police which rescued the newborn and sent her to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla.
