Balasore: A three-member National Investigation Agency (NIA) team on Saturday visited Saragaon Ishani village in Balasore district to investigate the family of Prashant Satapathy, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22.
According to reports, the team conducted an in-depth inquiry at Prashant’s residence, questioning his wife, Priyadarshini, son, and brother about the incident.
The NIA focused on critical details, including the terrorists’ appearance, attire, language, and behaviour, as well as the questions they asked, the number of bullets fired, and other targets during the attack.
The officers meticulously recorded the family’s responses on a laptop. Priyadarshini and her relatives cooperated fully, providing precise answers to aid the investigation.
The attack has sparked nationwide protests, with the Central government vowing stringent action against those responsible.
As the NIA intensifies its probe, the people of Balasore have stood in solidarity with Prashant’s family, demanding justice for the tragic loss.
