Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for Khurda, including Bhubaneswar city, predicting severe thunderstorms with lightning, moderate to heavy rain, and gusty winds in the next three hours.
The warning is valid until 4:24 PM on October 8, 2025.
The IMD has cautioned that gusty surface winds with speeds reaching 30-40 kmph may accompany the downpour during the period. Also, the regional weather office has predicted severe thunderstorms with lightning, moderate to heavy rain, and gusty winds during this period.
Residents are advised to avoid outdoor activities, take shelter in sturdy structures to ensure their safety. Besides, residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay indoors during the severe weather conditions.
