Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved an important amendment to the service terms of the Chairperson of the Odisha State Law Commission, allowing for enhanced allowances in addition to the existing pay structure.

The decision aims to align the Chairperson’s remuneration with the benefits typically granted to retired Judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts when undertaking assignments for the State Government.

This amendment ensures that the Chairperson will receive allowances and other service benefits comparable to those during their active tenure, safeguarding their entitlements from any adverse changes post-appointment.
