Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh for the family of Mihir Pradhan, a Class X student of Sri Aurobindo Purnanga Shiksha Kendra, who tragically collapsed during a morning walk and died in Ganjam district.
Taking to social media platform X, the Chief Minister expressed deep grief over the untimely demise of the student and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He said the financial assistance would be provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to the next of kin.
According to reports, Mihir suddenly fell unconscious on the hostel premises earlier on Sunday morning. He was immediately rushed to Khallikote Community Health Center, where doctors pronounced him dead. The sudden death of the young student has left his family and the local community in shock.
