Bhubaneswar: Maintaining a zero-tolerance stance against corruption, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has dismissed Dr Patitapaban Barik, a former Medical Officer of Gurundia Community Health Centre (CHC) in Sundargarh district, from government service.
Dr Barik, who is currently serving at Gurandi CHC in Gajapati district, was found guilty of corruption charges during his tenure at Gurundia CHC in Sundaragada, according to an official statement.
Following the findings against him, the Chief Minister ordered his dismissal from government service.
The action comes in line with the state government’s stated policy of adopting a strict zero-tolerance approach towards corruption at all levels of administration.
Chief Minister Majhi has repeatedly maintained that officials found involved in corrupt practices will not be spared and that stringent action will be taken against those found guilty.
