Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday approved an increase in the daily allowance (Duty Call-up Allowance/DCA) for Home Guards in Odisha from ₹639 to ₹650.
According to an official statement, the revised allowance will come into effect retrospectively from January 1, 2026, benefiting Home Guards engaged in maintaining law and order and supporting various public service activities across the state.
The latest enhancement follows an earlier revision made on July 1, 2025, when the daily allowance of Home Guards was increased from ₹623 to ₹639.
The state government recently announced an additional 2 per cent increase in dearness allowance for its regular employees with effect from January 1, 2026. Taking into account the DA revision and other related factors, the Chief Minister approved the fresh increase in the Duty Call-up Allowance for Home Guards.
The decision is expected to provide additional financial support to thousands of Home Guards serving in different parts of the state.
