Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday launched the State Level Cyber Safety Campaign at the Kalinga Stadium here.
As many as 34 Cyber Safety Raths will fan out across the state and touch different schools, colleges, and panchayats and disseminate cyber safety awareness messages.
It is pertinent to mention here that over the last few years, cyber crime has become a matter of concern in the entire country and in the State as well. Awareness and caution is the key to preventing this. Therefore, this campaign has been started to create awareness in this regard at all levels across the state. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has called upon all to remain alert and safe.
Minister State for Home Tusarkanti Behera, Minister Ashok Panda, two MLAs of Bhubaneswar Anant Narayan Jena, Sushant Raut, Mayor Sulochana Das, Chief Secretary PK Jena, DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal and senior officials were present.
During the campaign, Cyber Safety Awareness Rath will be welcomed by the district administration. Awareness programmes will be conducted in at least two educational institutions every day. Apart from this, awareness programmes will be organized at various crowded places in the block and police station area. Quiz competitions will be conducted among students in schools and colleges.
Mini Marathon will be organized in different cities on the morning of October 8. An evening walk programme will be organized on the 14th to sensitize senior citizens. The valedictory ceremony will be held on the 15th. Padma awardees and freedom fighters will be present along with district administration officials.
In this campaign, Panchayat representatives, Mission Shakti members, School and Mass Education Department, Higher Education Department, Panchayat Raj and Information and Public Relations Department officials and staff will remain present and support the programme.
