Bhubaneswar: Above-normal temperatures coupled with a delayed monsoon have made matters worse for Odisha. As many as 31 places recorded above 40 degrees temperatures on Friday.
Among these, Sonepur recorded the highest 45.6 degrees followed by Jharsuguda (45.4) and Bolangir (45.3). Most of the western Odisha districts were the worst affected by heat.
