Bhubaneswar: Phase II voting has started in Odisha, where voters are casting their votes for 5 Lok Sabha constituencies which include; Aska, Bargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal, and Sundargarh and 35 Assembly seats.
Amidst the voting fervour amongst the voters, the polling process has been delayed at multiple polling booths in the state; due to malfunctioning of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
As per sources; voting has been delayed at various polling stations including; Bargarh’s Hatpada Govt. Primary School booth no.92, booth no.106 at Jogmari in Bhanjanagar, and booth no. 64 at Silati in Binika Tahasil of Sonepur district.
The voting has been also stalled in booth no. 217 at Biramaharajpur, Sonepur and Kacharpalli, Bolangir district.
Polling in booth no. 234, and 236 of Ward no 18 in Sundargarh Municipality, as well as booth no. 223 & 224 of Padmapur are also paused due to technical glitches in EVMs.
Similar, problems were reported in Phase I elections voting in Odisha held on May 13, 2024.
