Bhubaneswar: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday announced the results of the Civil Services Examination 2024.
Odisha’s Ritika Rath has emerged as the state topper, securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 48. A former student of SAI International School in Bhubaneswar, Ritika completed her Class X in 2017.
With this achievement, she has successfully qualified for the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS), marking a proud moment for the state.
This year, a total of 1,009 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
The top five rank holders in UPSC CSE 2024 are:

- Harshita Goyal
- Dongre Archit Parag
- Shah Margi Chirag
- Aakash Garg
The examination process commenced with the Preliminary Examination held on June 16, 2024. The Main Examination was conducted between September 20 and September 29, 2024. The final round—the Personality Test (Interview)—was held from January 7 to April 17, 2025.
The UPSC Civil Services Examination is considered one of the most competitive and prestigious exams in the country, aimed at selecting candidates for the top administrative positions in the Government of India.
