Bhubaneswar: In a major boost to specialist dental services, the Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department has announced a monthly incentive for dentists working under the Odisha Medical Services (Dental) cadre.
As per the notification, dentists who have completed post-graduation from NMC-recognised medical colleges and are working under the Health and Family Welfare Department will be given an incentive of Rs 20,000 per month.
The incentive will come into effect from the date of issuance of the notification, i.e., August 29, 2026.
Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling said, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, our government is encouraging post-graduation qualified dentists to join government services and further strengthening specialist dental services in the government health system of the state. This important step will definitely strengthen health services in the coming days.”
The notification has been issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department after obtaining concurrence from the Finance Department.
