Odisha Govt Cancels Leaves Of District Collectors & RDCs Amid Rising India-Pakistan Tensions

Bhubaneswar: In response to the heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, the Odisha government has taken a decisive step to ensure administrative preparedness. All leaves for senior bureaucrats, including Regional Development Commissioners (RDCs) and District Collectors, have been cancelled, with immediate effect.

According to a notification issued by Additional Secretary to the government Manoj Kumar Mohanty, all RDCs and District Collectors on leave are instructed to return to their headquarters and resume their duties forthwith. The directive also stipulates that no further leaves will be granted until further notice.

“I am directed to inform you that, in view of the ongoing war-like conditions on the Western front of the Country, all leaves sanctioned earlier in favour of all RDCs and Collector & DMs are hereby cancelled. All RDCs and Collector & DMs on leaves are instructed to return to headquarters and join in duty immediately. No further leave shall be granted to any officer during this period,” read the notification issued by the Additional Secretary to the Government.
