Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has approved the recruitment of 1,363 Junior Revenue Assistant (JRA) posts across the state in a bid to strengthen revenue administration. The decision was taken in a committee meeting chaired by the Principal Secretary of the Finance Department.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, has written to all District Collectors regarding the recruitment process. The posts will be filled through direct recruitment in all 30 districts of Odisha.

The official communication specifies district-wise vacancies and the reservation policy for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBCs), women, Divyang individuals, ex-servicemen, and sportspersons. District Collectors have been instructed to submit online applications after consulting the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC).

The Revenue Secretary said the initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of revenue administration and improve public service delivery across the state. Officials expect the recruitment to expedite administrative work at the grassroots level.
