Odisha Police Signs MoU With SBI For Corporate Salary Package For OSSF Personnel

Bhubaneswar: In a simple ceremony held at the Operations Headquarters in Bhubaneswar, an MoU was signed between the Operations Wing of Odisha Police and the State Bank of India (SBI) for providing a Corporate Salary Package to the personnel of the Odisha Special Striking Force (OSSF).

Sanjeeb Panda, IPS,  DG Anti Naxal Operations attended the ceremony as Chief Guest.  Dr Deepak Kumar, IPS, IG Operations  signed on behalf of Odisha Police and Ashish Kumar Mishra, DGM of SBI signed on behalf of the bank.

There are about 4000 ex Service men working in the four Odisha Special Striking Force (OSSF) Battalions. They are deployed in various parts of Odisha primarily in Anti Naxal Operation related duty.

As per the Salary Package, the OSSF personnel will be entitled for Rs 50 lakh accident coverage, air Ambulance reimbursement of Rs 10 lakhs, Child higher education cover upto Rs 10 lakh, cost of plastic surgery upto Rs 10 lakhs, Rishtey Account benefits to family members, personal loan, optional health insurance of Rs 5 lakh on payment of Rs 1999 per annum.

Lochan Pasayat, Commandant SOG, Ramachandra Pradhan, Commandant in charge of OSSF, officers of OSSF and officers of SBI attended the function.

Sanjeeb Panda, DG Anti Naxal Operations thanked SBI for extending the Corporate Salary Package to OSSF Personnel. He further said that this insurance and other benefits from SBI will motivate the OSSF Personnel, who are performing duty in far flung areas of the state in difficult situations. This benefit will be in addition to benefits offered by the government.

At present there are 4 battalions of Odisha Special Striking Force (OSSF) with the strength of about 4 thousand personnel. The OSSF personnel are recruited from ex-army personnel and ex CAPF personnel.
