Dubai/ Bhubaneswar : Odisha Samaj UAE successfully organized the 16th edition of Utsav – Utkal Diwas 2026 on 24th May 2026 in Dubai, bringing together more than 600 Odias and guests from across all Emirates of the UAE.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Pabitra Kumar Majumder, Consul (Consular, MADAD & RTI) & Head of Chancery. The celebration highlighted Odisha’s rich heritage, culture, music, dance, and traditions, reflecting the unity of the Odia community in the UAE.
The formal session began with Dipa Prajwalana followed by Bande Utkala Janani by Vivek Mohanty. Odisha Samaj UAE President Amiya Mishra welcomed the gathering and spoke about preserving Odia culture among future generations.
The cultural program featured Odissi and semi-classical performances, Mahari dance, children’s performances, live music by guest singers Bernali Hota and Sashank Sekhar, and performances by local artists. A special tribute to popular Odia singer Humane Sagar was also presented.
A major highlight of the evening was the release of the Odisha Samaj magazine celebrating the journey and identity of the Odia community in the UAE.
The event concluded with gratitude to all volunteers, performers, and attendees who made Utsav a grand success for the 16th consecutive year.
