Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will begin the admission process for the three-year Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed programme for the 2026-27 academic session from August 20, with applications to be submitted online through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS).
The Higher Education Department, in an admission notification issued on Tuesday, said the online Common Application Form (CAF) will be available on the SAMS portal from 2 pm on August 20. Candidates can submit their applications till 11.45 pm on August 30.
A total of 200 seats will be available for the programme across four Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the state.
Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, Baripada, will offer 50 seats under the regular mode, while Sambalpur University, Rajendra University, Bolangir, and Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, will offer 50 seats each under the self-financing mode.
The department has clarified that no entrance examination will be conducted for admission to the Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed programme. Candidates will be selected through a centralised admission process based on their career marks and applicable reservation criteria.
The admission process will also provide Freeze and Slide options as prescribed in the information brochure.
Candidates who have already submitted their CAF and wish to make corrections will be allowed to edit their applications on August 31 between 11 am and 11.45 pm.
However, the department has clarified that no fresh CAF will be accepted on the editing day.
Candidates who have passed a Postgraduate (PG) examination in eligible Science, Social Science or Humanities subjects from a recognised institution will be eligible to apply.
The department has advised applicants to go through the official information brochure for the detailed list of eligible PG subjects and other admission requirements before submitting the CAF.
According to the admission schedule, first-year classes of the three-year Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed programme will commence from September 22, 2026.
The Higher Education Department has advised prospective candidates to regularly visit the SAMS portal for updates and carefully read the information brochure before filling out the application form.
