Bhubaneswar: A youth from Ganjam district was reportedly killed in a drone attack in Moscow during the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The deceased has been identified as A. Rameya of Madhabandha village under Chikiti block in Ganjam district.
According to reports, Rameya had travelled to Russia just about a month ago in search of employment. He died in a drone strike in Moscow. The news of his death has cast a pall of gloom over his village and the family is devastated.
Confirming the incident, Ganjam Collector Keerthi Vasan V said the district administration is in touch with the Indian Embassy regarding the matter. He added that efforts are being made to bring back the mortal remains of the deceased to Odisha at the earliest.
