Bhubaneswar: The 30th Board of Directors Meeting of Odisha Mineral Bearing Areas Development Corporation (OMBADC) was held today, under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary-cum-Chairman, OMBADC, Manoj Ahuja, at Lok Seva Bhawan.
The meeting saw the induction of new directors, including B Parmeswaran, Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra, and KC Sathpathy. The Board confirmed the minutes of the previous meeting, approved the draft Directors Report for FY 2023-24, and discussed the financial accounts for FY 2024-25 and the proposed budget for FY 2025-26.
CEO R K Lenka informed the Board that out of Rs. 22,840 Cr corpus, Rs. 13,664 Cr has been released to 17 departments for project implementation. The Board approved the extension of time for 22 projects and revised DPRs for projects under HT&H, H&FW, and S&ME departments.
Chairman Ahuja emphasised the need for online monitoring of ongoing projects, directing OMBADC to develop a package for the same. The meeting highlighted OMBADC’s focus on tribal welfare and area development in mineral-bearing areas of Odisha.
