Puri: One person died, while five others sustained critical injuries after a head-on collision between a car and a Mo Bus near Balighai on Puri-Konark Marine Drive on Monday morning.
According to reports, one passenger of the car died and five others are said to be critical. The Mo Bus driver also sustained severe injuries. The accident occurred when the car was returning from Chandrabhaga to Bhubaneswar and the Mo Bus was going from Puri to Konark.
Two accident victims were shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital as their condition deteriorated. Altogether 10 people were injured in the accident.
On being informed, police reached the spot, rescued the accident victims with the help of the local people, and sent the body for post-mortem. The police have also launched an investigation into the accident.
