Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OPHWC) today signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Home Department for Rs 1000 crore turnover in 2023-024.
In a simple ceremony held in the conference hall fo Home Department in Lokseva Bhawan, here, OPHWC signed MOU with Home Department on Tuesday. Deoranjan Kumar Singh, ACS Home Department and Sanjeeb Panda, CMD OPHWC signed the MoU.
As per the MOU, OPHWC will achieve the turnover of 1000 crore in the current financial year 023-24.
The Corporation had an turnover of 370 crore in 2021-22 and 532 crore in 2022-23 with 42% growth.
The Corporation has set up an ambitious target of almost doubling it’s turn over in the current financial year.
The Corporation is a profit making Silver rated Company of Government of Odisha and its giving dividend to the Government every year.
The Corporation undertakes various buildng projects of Police, Fire, Prisons, and Judiciary. It is the sole executing agency of all the Universities under Higher Education Department. It had recently undertaken 43 District and Block level bus stands for Transport Department under Ama Bus Stand scheme.
The Corporation has taken up the construction of Trainees Hostel at Gopabandhu Academy for 120 crore and this building will be the first IGBC Platinum rated buildng in the state.
The Corporation is also constructing the Modern Jail at Jamujhari Bhubaneswar for Rs 330 crore. The Corporation has taken up the construction fo the prestigious Biswanath Library in Cuttack for 30 crore.
The Corporation is also executing projects for other Government Departments and Agencies like Excise, Commerce and Transport, Health, Agriculture, SC and ST Dept, BDA, CDA, Pollution Control Board, Handloms and Handicraft, Sports and Youth Services, OMFED, Beverages Corporation, OMC etc. The corporation has completely automated it’s operation by implementing leading business software SAP S4 HANA.
