Bhubaneswar: OPTCL has bagged the 8th PSU IT Awards in the categories of Data Center Excellence and Digital Security Leader (CISO) for the year 2023 upon its recognition of the efforts and measures taken towards cyber security and Primary Data Centre Management. The award ceremony was organised by Governance Now and Priyadasan Patra, CGM(IT) and the team received the awards at Delhi on 7th Dec 2023.
Also, OPTCL has received the INFOCOM Change Makers Awards for the year 2023 for IT Innovation taken by OPTCL which was organised by ABP-INFOCOM. Manoj Kumar Behera, GM (IT) who is also the Chief Information Security Officer of OPTCL has received the award at the event held at ITC, Kolkata on 1st Dec 2023.
IT Department, OPTCL spearheading different Innovative IT projects for smooth business operations. As a state PSU, OPTCL has its own ISO 27001:2013 certified tire-3 Primary Data Center. IT department was involved in different IT applications in trending technology like ERP, Business Warehousing, Robotic Process Automation and Business Inelegancies. Recently department has done Power Line Asset Inspection using UAV (Drone).
The Primary Data Center (PDC) of OPTCL is a tire 3 architecture data center that aims to enhance reliability & security of Information Systems through centralized management of IT Infrastructure. With deployment of advance products and solutions, OPTCL has achieved high quality and IT operational excellence on organizational level. This PDC is certified with ISO 27001:2013 certification. Implementing defence in depth strategy, PDC of OPTCL maintains its data secure and protected. PDC is equipped with following latest products for ensuring data protection and cyber security.
