Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials on Thursday apprehended an OSD in the Revenue Section of the Collectorate of Nuapada district Narendra Kumar Chandrakar while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 as the first installment out of the overall demand of Rs 46,000 from a complainant.
According to an official press release, accused Chandrakar had demanded a bribe from the complainant for processing the Settlement Revision File of his spouse and for issuance of ROR (Land Patta) in her favour from the Tahasil office in Komna in Nuapada district.
Following the trap, Vigilance officials have launched searches at two locations of Chandrakar from disproportionate assets (DA) angle.
