Over 30 Persons Fall Ill After Eating ‘Contaminated’ Dahi Bara In Jajpur

Jajpur: More than 30 persons, including over six children, were hospitalised after consuming Dahi Bara in Patapur village under Jayantara Panchayat of Dasarathpur block in Jajpur district.

According to local sources, the Dahi Bara was prepared and sold in the village, and those who consumed it developed food poisoning symptoms within a few hours.

The victims started falling ill on Friday afternoon after eating Dahi Bara. They complained of severe vomiting, diarrhoea, and other symptoms of food poisoning. The affected persons were initially admitted to the Dasarathpur Community Health Centre. Later, those in serious condition were shifted to the Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital for better treatment.

Further details regarding the condition of the patients are awaited.
