Sambalpur: The Excise Department seized around 1.3 kilograms of ganja valued at roughly Rs 13 lakh during a patrol at Sasan toll gate and Rampela in Sambalpur district on Saturday.
The ganja was being transported from Bargarh to Bilaspur and Angul to Noida when the vehicles were intercepted. Six individuals have been arrested and their vehicles have been seized in connection with the incident.
The accused persons had created a hidden compartment in the CNG tank of the vehicle to smuggle the ganja. As per the last reports, they have been court forwarded.
