Pick-Up Van Catches Fire Following Series Accidents On NH-149 In Odisha’s Angul

Bhubaneswar: A pick-up van was severely burnt while the driver of one of these vehicles sustained critical injuries in a series of accidents in Odisha’s Angul district.

According to reports, the series accident took place at the toll gate of National Highway-149 when a truck rammed against a stationary trailer from behind. To make matters worse, a pick-up van hit the trailer from behind. As a result of the collision, the pick-up van went up in flames injuring one driver.

On being informed, Fire Services personnel from Palahada and a police team from Khamar reached the spot and rescued the drivers along with the toll gate staff. The Khamar police have started an investigation into the accident.
