Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha on May 6 ahead of the first phase of polls in the state on May 13.
Modi will address a public rally in Nabarangpur for the party’s candidates for the four Lok Sabha constituencies – Nabarangpur, Berhampur, Koraput, and Kalahandi, and the 21 Assembly constituencies under them.
The Prime Minister will also hold a roadshow in Nabarangpur along with the party’s Lok Sabha and Assembly candidates.
Modi’s visit to the region assumes significance as the BJP is keen to win as many seats possible from Odisha this time. In an interview with a national news channel a few days back, the Prime Minister had said, “As Odisha is endowed with rich mineral resources it should be India’s No 1 state, but see where it is today. It is time that people gave BJP a chance in Odisha.”
It is worth mentioning here that BJP president JP Nadda had campaigned for the BJP candidates in Sonepur last week.
