Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Odisha on June 20 has prompted a high-level security review meeting at the office of the Director of the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
Officials from Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police and the Fire Services Department attended the meeting to ensure seamless security arrangements ahead of the PM’s visit.
Following the preparatory meeting, senior officials inspected Janata Maidan to assess the preparations. Odisha Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena and Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari also visited the venue to review the arrangements. In the meantime, stringent security measures have been put in place across the city in anticipation of the Prime Minister’s visit.
As per the official schedule, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport at 3:40 pm. Following his arrival, he will participate in a roadshow from 3:45 pm to 4:15 pm, which will start from the airport and culminate at Janata Maidan.
After the roadshow, PM Modi will attend a public event at Janata Maidan from 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm. The event marks the BJP government’s first-year celebrations in Odisha, and PM Modi will unveil the state’s ‘Vision Document’ during the program.
After the event, PM Modi is scheduled to depart from Bhubaneswar airport to New Delhi at around 5:50 pm.
