Kataka: The body of a police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), identified as Jitendra Samantaray, was recovered from the railway track near Kathajodi in Kataka, police sources said.
Samantaray had joined the police force as a constable in 2011. He was promoted to the rank of ASI around five months ago and was undergoing training at the Byree Training Centre.
The circumstances leading to his death are yet to be ascertained.
