Cuttack: The Cuttack Police have intensified the investigation into the death of late Odia singer Humane Sagar following a detailed complaint filed by his mother, Sephali Suna. The complaint, submitted at Markat Nagar Police Station on December 21, 2025, demands an urgent and thorough probe into her son’s untimely and suspicious death.
Cuttack Deputy Commissioner of Police Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo told the media that the police have registered a case based on the family’s allegations.
“All allegations, medical documents, and statements have been reviewed. We are coordinating with the doctors at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, where Humane Sagar was receiving treatment. The investigation is ongoing, and all relevant documents are being collected to ensure a proper and thorough inquiry,” he said.
Sephali Suna has urged authorities to explore all possible angles in the case and ensure that everyone, directly or indirectly involved, is held accountable under the law.
Humane Sagar passed away on the evening of November 17, 2025, at AIIMS Bhubaneswar after battling multi-organ dysfunction syndrome, chronic liver failure, pneumonia, and related health complications.
His sudden demise has left fans and the Odia music industry in shock.
